EFFECTS OF ELECTRONIC MASS MEDIA ON THE DIFFUSION OF POULTRY TECHNOLOGIES AMONG FARMERS IN NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL ZONE OF PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA

The study examined the effects of electronic mass media used in diffusion of poultry technologies among poultry farmers in Northern Agricultural Zone of Plateau State, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling techniques were used to select 180 poultry farmers for study. Data were collected using structured questionnaire. Frequency, percentage, mean, and inferential statistics. Multiple linear regression and Spearman’s rank were used to assess the relationship between the variables. The result of the findings revealed that majority (61.2%) of the poultry farmers were female and 38.8% were male. 34.1% of the poultry farmers were between the age range of 30-40 years.
