Keywords:
Managing e learning instruction, facilities, stakeholders and achievementAbstract
The quality of teachers produced in colleges of education has a direct impact on achieving the goals of education at all levels. This study, therefore, examined the management of e-learning Instructional facilities for the achievement of the goal of teacher education among the colleges of education in the North West geopolitical Zone of Nigeria. This study adopted a descriptive survey
research design. Four objectives with corresponding research questions guided the study, with one null hypothesis tested at a 0.05 significance level. 271 respondents were sampled for the study. The instruments for data collection were developed and tagged ‘MEIQ’ and ‘GAQ’. Reliability indices of 0.73 and 0.72, respectively, were obtained using the Cronbach alpha reliability
test, which shows that the instrument is reliable for the study. The finding revealed that there is a significant relationship between inclusiveness in managing e-learning instructional facilities and achievement of teacher education (r= 0 64; p value 0.01 < 0.05 sig). Hence, the study concludes that joint management among the stakeholders of e-learning instructional facilities in terms of provision and maintenance is imperative for achieving the set goals of teacher education. It is therefore recommended, among others, that management of colleges of education should incorporate students and host communities for managing available facilities.
